The New Cross Sainsburys is a medium to large shop selling mostly food with a very few other non-food items. It is the only large supermarket in the area. It is usually reasonably busy so the checkout can be a little slow at times, so look at the google popular times chart to help avoid long queues. You will need a £1 token for the trolley, which has caught me out occasionally. There is a massive car park which I have never seen to be anywhere near full. It is partially used by a few smaller shops near the entrance if their tiny car pars are full. There is a Sainsburys petrol station with a really good price, so I can usually arrange to fill up there. If you have the AA app you can compare the price with Asda to north-west on A2 about 1.6 miles away. The only problem with this petrol station is there is no pay-at-pump! (really!! so last century!!!), however it does not lower my star rating.
