I've lived in London for five years and always lamented the fact that despite the great restaurants, nowhere does good manoushe... But this morning I stumbled across Zeit w Zaatar by accident. I'm over the moon. The manoushe is crisp, the Zaatar khodra excellent and akawi is just like home. They were made in an actual furnace so I had three in a row, how could I not? For someone who will happily eat manoushe for breakfast almost every day when in Beirut this is that rare thing - a Lebanese manoushe in London you can tell your friends about. It's got the charm of a street shop in Beirut, with its music, clientele and boisterous warm owner greeting you like it's your place when you walk in. The counter offers la7me ba3jeen, falafel and other baked Lebanese gems. Rarely do London days start off so good.

Would almost like to keep this one a secret... Had it for breakfast.. And for lunch again the next day. And I'd like it today too! All made fresh, in front of you... And you can taste the difference! Try out the cheese and the spinach manakish!! ??.. Go, bring cash (cash only). You'll thank me later.
